It took me a while to pluck up the courage to take on a copywriting course, and I did lots of research before I chose the Copywriting Apprentice. And I didn’t regret it. I knew I wouldn’t be able to complete the course quickly, with a toddler and plans to move house later in the year, but there was never any pressure put on me. If I wanted to submit nothing for a month, and then two assignments in quick succession, that was fine, and that flexibility suited me.
I was impressed with the breadth of content in each of the modules, but I think by far the most beneficial part of the course was the assignments, and the opportunity for feedback. I was constantly amazed by the speed at which my assignments were marked, and often then engaged in lengthy email dialogues with my tutor about how to do it better next time! She always humoured me with detailed responses, and I could really feel her enthusiasm for the subject. I came away from each assignment feeling that I would be able to repeat it to a high standard in ‘real life’.
The Copywriting Apprentice course has given me the confidence to start looking for copywriting opportunities, and I am excited to see where these may lead in the future. Watch this space as they say!
